Q2 Briefly, what are the main issues that need to be dealt with in this community?
A2 Please provide a link to my website: http://www.drbriandmaclean.com
Please see the Tab on ‘My Promise’
The council has painted itself into a corner and is now spinning its wheels. A lack of respect for other points of view, each other, and town hall employees suggests that a team player is required who can support strong leadership in an effort to professionalize the council to render its functioning effective and representative of the diversity of views it represents in the community.
Q3 What do you hope to accomplish in your first year as councillor?
A3 Please provide a link to my website: http://www.drbriandmaclean.com
Please see the tab on ‘My Promise’
I hope that, within the first year, members of the community will recognize that, in me, they have an advocate who will ensure their concerns are heard with respect by council. It is critical to the functioning of local government that community members feel welcome to participate in the democratic process. Without that participation, it is not clear how any political body can function. Credibility of the Council to the public it serves would be a welcome development in the first year. I am a team player who can work effectively with whomever is elected to ensure the proper functioning of council
