As referred to in the Hope Standard article about me (Thursday November 13, 2008) and elsewhere on this website, the Cuff Report represents a report to council by a professional investigator specializing in the social audits of Municipal Governments. This report covers the investigation of the Hope District Council by their invitation and makes a series of observations and recommendations. As stated elsewhere, it is my intention and promise to you to work towards implementing these recommendations with the new team of Councilors led by the Mayor.
A liberal democracy must be respectfully responsive to all voices in the community and it is professionally necessary for all political representatives to be tolerant of and show respect to all members of the community profile. Democracy must be participatory and all persons in the jurisdiction must feel welcome to participate. These are the goals I hope to achieve during my term of office in concert with my other councilor colleagues and our team leader, the Mayor.
